Yahoo's Massive 2,000 Employee Layoff
Yahoo confirmed earlier today that it fired 2,000 employees -- or, about 14% of its global workforce. The hardest hit divisions? Product, marketing, research, and international. Taking Yahoo in a new direction, CEO Scott Thompson wants to focus on core media and communications, platforms, and data. Platforms? We don't really know what he means by that either.
